Setting Up Outlook (Express) POP3 Mailbox

Log into your CPanel from your_domain.com/cpanel. Enter your CPanel username and password.


Click on the Mail icon.


Select from the list >> Manage/Add/Remove Accounts


Click on Add Account


Create your first address! Choose a name and password. The default size of 10 Megs is fine as it is.

You now have a professional business e-mail address! You can setup various addresses. For example:

info@yourdomain.com | sales@yourdomain.com | support@yourdomain.com | admin@yourdomain.com


Configuring your email for Outlook, or Outlook Express.

If you have your Outlook, or Outlook Express program open, close it, now. Click on "Configure Mail Client". You will be presented with 4 choices. If you have Outlook, choose "Auto-Configure ®Microsoft Outlook for POP3 Access". If you have Outlook Express, choose "Auto-Configure ®Microsoft Outlook Express for POP3 Access".

Follow the directions when the pop-up boxes appear, yes to all. Save on your Hard Drive.

When asked if you want to "Run" choose Yes. Your POP3 email is now configured.


Open your Outlook (or Outlook Express) program, in the file menu, go to identities and click on "Add New Identity".


Think of a name for this identity, it can be whatever you want. Type it in the box and click on "OK".


Click on"Yes" when this box opens.


Type in your name.


Type in your FULL e-mail address. The one you created earlier in Cpanel.


Type in "mail.your_domain.com" (your_domain being the domain that you own).


Type in your FULL e-mail address and your password. The ones you created earlier in Cpanel.


On the Tools menu tab at the top, click on Accounts


Click on the Mail tab at the top, then click on Properties.


Type in mail.your_domain.com (your_domain being the domain that you own), your name, e-mail address and reply address. These are usually the same address.


In the servers tab, For Server Information, type in mail.your_domain.com (your_domain being the domain that you own).

For Incoming Mail Server, type in your FULL e-mail address and Password. The ones you created earlier in Cpanel.

** Click on the My server requires authentication box and then click on Settings.


Make sure that the Use same settings as my incoming mail server box is checked, click OK.


Click on Apply, then OK.


You can now click on the Tools tab at the top, then Options to set up your special settings.

Enjoy your NEW Outlook Express mailbox!
